Adam Thornton is a Georgia attorney with a career rooted in real property law, land use, and complex transactional matters. Adam has extensive experience handling residential and commercial real estate closings throughout Georgia, including purchases, refinances, construction loans, and complex commercial transactions. Having guided thousands of files from contract to recording, he is known for anticipating issues, resolving them efficiently, and delivering reliable, on-time closings for buyers, sellers, lenders, and real estate professionals.
Adam is widely known for his work in eminent domain and land-use matters throughout Georgia, where he has represented hundreds of property owners in cases involving state agencies, utilities, and local governments. He is the author of A Guide to Eminent Domain in Georgia: Understanding Your Client's Rights and Protecting Their Interests, a published resource available on Amazon.
Adam attended the University of Georgia and earned his Juris Doctor from Charlotte School of Law. He also proudly served in the United States military, where he developed the discipline, leadership, and mission-focused mindset that continue to shape his legal practice.
Outside of work, Adam enjoys spending time with his family, writing, remains actively involved in the marching arts, including his work with Carolina Crown, and being outdoors, often accompanied by his golden retriever, Kiba.
